Tip To Increase Your YouTube Page Rank

Here’s a cool tip that will help increase the page rank of your YouTube channel!

Normally, you would link to your YouTube channel in this manner (this is my channel):  http://youtube.com/cindihoutz (cindihoutz is my ‘channel name’). This is the url address most people would post as that’s what YouTube tells you to use.

So… why wouldn’t you want to do it this way?

YouTube wants you to link to your channel this way because it’s a ‘no follow’ link.  A ‘no follow’ link will not be searched by the search engine bots and indexed by Google.  This way of linking gives more “juice” to YouTube (and you’d do that too if you owned YouTube!!!).

You can make one simple adjustment when you’re linking to your YouTube channel that will create a link that is actually followed by the search engine bots and your YouTube channel will be indexed.  Here it is… add the term user in the following manner:  http://youtube.com/user/cindihoutz.

This little tip will help to increase your page rank and give it some Google backlink juice!

To Your Success,
